Great photos. Vazac Hall (fourth shot) is at East 7th Street and Avenue B, not Ave A.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing more!
You are absolutly right about Vazac ! How can I make such a mistake ! I might have had too many drinks other there at the time while playing pinball ! Thank you for your message !
DeleteThese photos are so beautiful i don't even know what to say, besides thank you so much for taking them. The subjects of this collection of photos are so seldom appreciated to their full worth. Those hand painted Ads are real artwork. Just the design of them to begin with is so skillful and tasteful, it is unable to be replicated today. Really made my day/week to see this
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this nice comment! So glad to know that my images are appreciated by those who experience this great era of New York City !
DeleteAs a aspiring artist and advertising professional myself, I like to know who made that "No Rest for the Wicked Tonite" mural/ad? That's artistic perfection at its finest! Especially back in the 90s. Likewise I would at least want to know (or find) the name of the person or the agency behind the mural if you have any information on that? I will really appreciate it!
