WIGSTOCK was the event of each Labor Day weekend in the East Village. Another absolutely amazing street party where participants and performers were one, now gone forever. Face it, NYC today is only a shadow of what it was during the 80's and 90's when creativity flowed freely through the masses who inhabited downtown from Christopher street to Chelsea and through Alphabet City... Geez what the F-*k happened! Where's everyone gone? Does LA VIE BOHEME even exist nowadays?
ReplyDeleteI agree--NYC today is tired and played and rich.
DeleteLa Vie has left NYC....for Buffalo.
New York City is dead. Only squares living there now.
ReplyDeleteNYC is dead because all these out of town fuckers come to the city to live and than start bringing their boring ass shit here. Real new Yorkers are still here, but they consider us rude, hostile aggressive and arrogant...not what these aholes in these areas want. They want the history and the reputation without actually doing shit.
